Chapter 3 Reflection

This chapter is about using technology to find teaching material and teach in the class. I used to use Google to find out how to decorate my classroom door. I found a lot of ideas from others classroom doors：some teachers decorate their classroom door like a tree, and all children's names are leaves on the tree; some teachers decorate their classroom door like a sea, all children's name are on different fish. Ms. Beth and I decided to let our classroom door to be a grass, the children's names are on the different color of bunnies. It turns out every kid likes that very much. It also helps kids to remember their and their friends' name very fast.

This chapter also mentioned about using technology to assess students. I download some apps in my ipad to teach students about math and counting. This could help Ms. Beth and I to assess how much did students learnt. We teach kids weekdays recently. Most of them cannot remember weekdays exactly. There is also another apps for kids to help them remember what is today, yesterday or tomorrow. I think the apps will help students a lot for their learning.

Question:
1. Is there any website that we can post our mind and talk with other teachers online?
2. How can we have kids attention all the time, if we use ipad or computer too long, they might want to play some other games in ipad.

Chapter 2 reflection

Nowadays, we have a lot of ways to teach students. Teachers need to use different technology to make students interested in what you are going to teach. Ms. Lithe told me that we can use different songs to get students attention. We use Dora's clean up song when we clean up. It is very useful. Kids like music, and many girls like Dora. Kids start to clean up when they heard about the song. Today I give them wash hands song. It is also made them better behaved than before when are washing their hands.

Chapter 2 mentioned to use technology to do the group work. Since I have very young students. I decide to use different ways to do the group work. I made them into different groups, and give them theme--autumn to talk about. I put their result in the computer, making different pictures by what they were talking about. I even find a game quiz online to make them know more about autumn. In the end, Ms. Beth (the other teacher in our class) found a video about autumn to show. This made kids very interested in the theme.

Here are my questions:

What can we do to balance every student? Everyone has different interests. One may think it is interesting, others may think it is boring.

Chapter 1 Reflection

Chapter One talks about how important to use technology and how to become an e-teacher. I think becoming an e-teacher is very important. Technology can help teachers to explain very abstract things.

Yesterday one boy asked me about what is continent? I told him that people divide earth into seven parts, and these parts call continent. But he still could not understand that. I opened a computer, and I googled the world map for him. I showed the seven different continents to him. He understood that very quickly.

Therefore, being an e-teacher is very important. Technology also provide us new ways to teaching and learning.

My questions are:

1. Computer is very good and important for teaching, however, everything has two sides. What will we do if students play computer games all the time? 

2. How should teachers do if they do not or have very few technology in their classroom?

Dust in the Sunshine

Love, is the dust in the sunshine.

We can see dust only when the sunshine is very very strong.

I still remembered when I was a little girl.

One sunny afternoon, I saw dust in the sunshine.

They are flying in the sunshine, light, but beautiful.



Love, is the dust in the sunshine.

It exist all the time, but we can only see them when they are in the strong sunshine.

We are around of love, like we are around of dust.

But we can only feel love if something shows us that we are in love.

We cannot see love does not mean it dose not exist.


Love, is the dust in the sunshine.
